Peninsula and Southeast Oncology aims to provide exemplary service and care to all of our patients.

This financial information is to assist you in understanding the fees that may be incurred as part of your visit or any relevant treatments.

Referrals

It is very important to have a current referral.

If you do not have a current referral you will be required to pay in full on the day of the consultation.

Please check with the reception staff as to whether you require a new referral so that you can receive your Medicare rebate and avoid full payment costs on the day.

GP Referrals are valid for 12 months. A new referral is required if your GP has changed or has moved locations.

Specialist Referrals are valid for 3 months.

Consultations

Consultation Fees – are required to be paid on the day of your visit. Your consultant’s individual billing information is available. Please enquire with the reception staff.

Rebates – can be lodged electronically on the day if you have your bank details recorded with Medicare Australia.
General consultations may incur an out of pocket fee.
On treatment days, consultations are covered through your Health Fund (DVA for Gold Card Holders)
