PASO Medical provides patients access to a range of specialized services, including Lung Function Testing (Spirometry, Diffusing Capacity (DLCO), MIPS / MEPS – Respiratory Muscle Strength). PASO Medical’s on site Lung Function test facility allows for a streamlined patient diagnosis in suspected Lung Cancer cases and other medical conditions.

Lung function tests are performed by our Respiratory Scientists, with patient results and reports presented by our Respiratory Physicians.

Investigations into Lung Capacity, signs of obstruction (including the effects of Ventolin) and Oxygen transfer via breath analysis, are useful in assessing patients who have Lung Cancer or Neuromuscular Weakness.

Lung Function tests also help to diagnose Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) resulting in improved management of these conditions by our Respiratory & Sleep Physicians.Lung function tests are performed by our Respiratory Scientists, with patient results and reports presented by our Respiratory Physicians.

Preparing for a Lung Function Test at PASO Medical

• AVOID taking any puffers (unless otherwise instructed)

• No tea, coffee, chocolate, or caffeinated drinks to be consumed on the test day including before Bronchoprovocations Tests – Mannitol
